A CHARACTER APPEARANCE THAT YOU MISREAD OR IMAGINED DIFFERENTLY?

Bellatrix Lestrange – I pictured her more as an aristocrat, more like Narcissa who is put together. She is even described in the books as having sleek hair and the Black’s good looks and bearing. She is from a pure blood proud family and was well educated. In the movies she just seemed so different that this.
A CHARACTER NAME YOU’VE BEEN PRONOUNCING WRONG?
Carlisle from Twilight, I was so off it was hilarious when I finally heard it said the correct way.
AN OVERUSED TROPE THAT IS YOUR GUILTY PLEASURE?
The unlikely hero of humble origins, while it is a bit overused I find that it does give you a “I can do anything!” vibe.
A CLICHE CHARACTER TYPE THAT YOU LIKED BETTER SEEING ON-SCREEN THAN READING ABOUT?
The plain Jane who gets her man. For some reason I can sit through a movie with this and be fine. But, when I read a book with this in it I get aggravated by nearly everything.
A WORD/PHRASE THAT YOU LEARNED BECAUSE OF ITS USE IN A BOOK?
I learned the term deuce from Sherlock Holmes, it is an old term for the Devil.
HAVE YOU EVER NOT READ/NOT COMPLETED A READING REQUIREMENT FOR SCHOOL?
I never finished Lord of the Flies, I read the first 20 pages and hated it so I never finished it. I just listened to my classmates and their discussions and I was able to jump in to make some points and was able to pass. Being a good listener is a very good tool to have.
HAVE YOU EVER (OR HAVE WANTED TO) SKIPPED A CHAPTER FROM THE POINT OF VIEW YOU WEREN’T INTEREST IN?
Yes, I have done this with a few books over the years. While I do enjoy description, if you can easily cut 100 pages from your book it is a bit too much.
HAVE YOU EVER CANCELLED SOCIAL PLANS TO READ A BOOK?
No, I have not but, I have not made plans because I just wanted to go home and read a good book.
Omg I used to pronounce Carlisle’s name wrong too 😂
